Falke Pisano

a1gb0000000xKVXAA2

As an artist, Falke Pisano is primarily interested in the intangible aspects of an artwork. She searches for a speculative form of language through which the other conditions of an object can be exposed, for example from memory or fiction. Her lecture 'A sculpture turning into a conversation' from 2005 is a good example of this. The work was presented at the Liste art fair in Basle by Ellen De Bruijne Projects (Amsterdam) and did not go unnoticed. Her work is often presented in international group exhibitions. In 2007 and 2008 these included the Yokohama triennial (J), Manifesta 7 in Rovereto, South Tyrol, 'Die Wahrnehmung von Ideen führt zu neuen Ideen' at the Kunstverein für die Rheinlande und Westfalen, Düsseldorf, 'Word Event' in de Kunsthalle Basel, 'Twice Told Tales' in Galerie Michel Rein, Paris, 'Imagine Action', Lisson Gallery, London and 'The Reinterpretation of Modern Art', Lewis Glucksman Gallery, Cork, Ireland, as well as 'If I can't dance, I Don't Want To Be Part Of Your Revolution', MuHKA Antwerp. Falke Pisano lives and works in Amsterdam where, together with Charlotte Moth, she founded 'falkeandcharlotte', an art platform of no fixed abode. In this context and under the title 'we love', she has organised talks by artists in which they present one of their favourite artists.
