Michèle Didier

a1gb0000000xKG4AAM

In 1987 Michèle Didier founded 'Les Maîtres de Forme Contemporains' in Brussels in order to publish multiples by such artists as Herman Pitz, Braco Dimitrijevic and Christian Marclay. In 1997 she started up an additional publishing company for artist's books together with the gallery owner Micheline Szwajcer. Their first publication was 'One Million Years, Past, Future' by the Japanese conceptual artist On Kawara.
Michèle Didier's involvement showed up her interest in monumental projects. In 2001 she published Allen Ruppersberg's 'The New Five Foot Shelf', which comprises fifty books and forty-five poster-format photos. On Kawara will soon be presenting the third part of the trilogy 'I Met', 'I Went' and 'I Got Up'. The other artists Michèle Didier cooperates with include Robert Barry, Stanley Brouwn, Philippe Parreno, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Josh Smith and Christopher Wool.
