Trevor Richard Wells was given a guided tour of the cellars under deSingel in preparation for this project, and he wrote the following about his visit: 'Walking round the incredible cellars at deSingel, I became curious to see what would happen with such functional spaces if, for example, I were to paint a particular section pink (a nod in the direction of Luis Barragan). Or if I were to use diagonal and vertical lines as a counterpoint to the emphatically horizontal setting. Or put writing on the wall, or fill certain sections with objects (that visitors can take away with them)... one thing leads to another.'
