Nina Simone was an incredibly talented pianist and singer, with a voice like no other. At times soft and fragile, at others powerful and defiant – but always full of emotion. She enchanted the world with hits such as My Baby Just Cares for Me and Feeling Good. Yet in songs like Mississippi Goddam, To Be Young, Gifted, And Black and I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel to Be Free, she also showed that music can be a way of denouncing injustice. 

Her career had its highs and lows. So did her personal life. In this short and intimate performance, three top-class all-female musicians bring this turbulent journey to life for a younger audience. Expect a mix of jazz, soul and blues, and certainly some of Nina’s most famous songs.
